Is it all really Black & White?

For the first time in m entire life, I've never been on edge as I have been since "45" became the "Commander in Chief". From Day one, the wombs that divided this country in the past, have now had a rebirth. I used to think that slavery, segregation and racism were behind us, because our ancestors fought the fight for us. How naive have I been? I remember my first encounter of racism as a child. I had a bestfriend, I'll call her "Dimples". Dimples was caucasian and I am a bi-racial child living in the deep country of Alabama. I was from New York and had no friends and she became my friend immediately. I remember the day we talked about having a sleep-over, I invited her to our home and told her to have her parents call my grandmother. We were so excited of the possibility!
